PURPOSE: To detect Eikenella corrodens (E.c) in an oral cavity pathogen rapidly, accurately, and easily by bringing the oral cavity pathogen into contact with an antibody that is specifical to E.c seed. CONSTITUTION: To confirm the presence of E. c in an oral cavity sample and/or to determine its quantity, the oral cavity sample is brought into contact with an antibody that is specifical to the E. c seed, thus forming an immunological complex between the antigen and antibody of E.c that exists in the sample. Then, the amount of the formed complex is measured. Then, a seed specifical antibody that exhibits specific for E.c and does not exhibits-essentially cross reactivity with a normal human antigen is provided. The antibody is generally used as a reagent in an immunity examination formal that is useful for detecting the presence and amount of E. c in such clinical oral cavity sample as Plaque, fang, or liquid under the fang. |
