PURPOSE:To well reproduce middle gradation by mixing two kinds of toners each having a specified Warder's practical sphericity to obtain a developer used for an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous toner having about <0.95 Warder's practical sphericity has a high development factor gamma because it has a small area of contact with an electrifying member and a small amt. of electrification. A practically spherical toner having about 0.95-1.00 Warder's practical sphericity has a low development factor gamma because it has a large area of contact with the electrifying member and a larger amt. of electrification than the amorphous toner. When the two kinds of toners are mixed in a proper ratio to obtain a developer, the development factor gamma of the developer is made close to 1 and middle gradation can be reproduced with no unevenness. |
