PURPOSE:To enhance printing resistance and to prevent background stains, by using a ternary copolymer of acrylate, methacrylate, and acrylic acid as a binder, and coating a conductive support with a mixture of ZnO and the binder. CONSTITUTION:30-60pts.wt. monomer having formula A (R1 is H or methyl and R2 is 6-12C alkyl), such as n-hexyl methacrylate, and 40-70pts.wt. monomer having formula B (R3 is methyl or ethyl) are mixed, and 0.5-5pts.wt. vinyl monomer having carboxylic acid, such as methacrylic acid, copolymerizable with said mixture is added and a ternary copolymer is obtained by radical polymerization of them. This copolymer having 100,000-200,000 weight average mol. wt. is used for a binder resin. Photoconductive ZnO is added to this resin, mixed, and a conductive substrate is coated with this mixture to form a photoconductive layer, thus providing an electrophotographic lithographic plate. Said lithographic plate has high printing resistance, and water resistance, and prevents background stains. |
