PURPOSE:To prevent miscopying by inhibiting a copying operation when an operation mode that can not be set to the copying machine, to which data is loaded, is saved in an IC card. CONSTITUTION:A control part is mainly constituted of a main control part 201 which controls the action of the copying machine main body and an optical system control part 202 which is connected to the main control part 201 through a bus and controls the operation of an optical system by communicating with each other. When the IC card 200 is set to the card inserting part of the copying machine, the control CPU of the main control part 201 judges whether or not the operation mode registered in the card 200 is within the ability of the copying machine concerned. As a result, when the mode registered in the IC card 200 is not included in the modes which can be set to the copying machine, the operation is returned to a main routine while various copy modes set to this copying machine are maintained. Since the copying operation is inhibited in such a way, copying (miscopying) in a mode which the IC card 200 excludes can be prevented. |
