PURPOSE:To reduce the memory capacity of an electronic musical instrument by setting flags to tones which are not required for changing their waveforms in the high pitch direction and tones which are not required for changing their envelope shapes in the high pitch direction to zero. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument has WTABs, ETABs, W flags, and E flags which are different at every tone in the control table 21 of a key scaling section 15 and it is not required to secure a corresponding waveform memory selecting data memory about a tone which are not required for changing the waveform in the high pitch direction, because the WTAB becomes waveform memory selected data when the M flag is set to zero. In addition, it is not required to secure a corresponding envelope memory selecting data memory about a tone which is not required for changing the envelope shape in the high pitch direction, because the ETAB becomes envelope memory selecting data when the E flag is set to zero. Therefore, the memory capacity can be reduced. |
