<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a wide aspect video signal with simple constitution by setting an auxiliary color carrier to be higher than that of a standard video signal and setting the carrier to correspond to an aspect ratio. CONSTITUTION:Out of three primary colors, an R signal and a B signal are respectively inputted to subtraction circuits 20 and 21 so as to generate color difference signals (R-Y signal and B-Y signal). Since the auxiliary color carrier generated in a burst generation circuit 22 is 3.58MHz in the case of the standard video signal and a signal obtained from a camera 18 has the aspect ratio of 5:3, the auxiliary color carrier is made higher for the aspect ratio. Namely, it is assumed that fsc=3.58X(5/4)=4.475(MHz) since the aspect ratio of the standard video signal is 4:3. Thus, the video signal whose aspect ratio is enlarged can be recorder/reproduced and transmitted/received while compatibility with the standard video signal is held.</p> |
