PURPOSE:To obtain an image processing device which has not only an image forming function but also an image transmitting function by controlling the moving speed of an optical scan system in response to a read-out data compression rate. CONSTITUTION:Images equivalent to one line are read by an image sensor 14, and are binarized. The binarized data is compressed and transmitted to a communication line. On receiving a one line transmission completion signal DT, a motor control part 26 drives a scan mirror driving motor 25, and moves a scan mirror by one line. By repeating these operations, one image is transmitted. Consequently, data of a high data compressing rate is speedily transmitted, and the scan mirror is moved at a high speed. Conversely, data of a low data compressing rate is transmitted slowly, and its transmission takes time; therefore the scan mirror is moved at a lower speed. Consequently, a scan speed in response to the data compressing rate can be obtained. |
