<p>The invention relates to a gearbox of the type comprising an input drive shaft (10) and a parallel output receiver shaft (20), each respectively carrying driving pinions (11, 12, 13, 14) and receiving pinions (21, 22, 23, 24) which engage in pairs (11-21, 12-22, 13-23, 14-24) to form pairs of driving and receiving pinions each of which provides a transmission ratio between the input shaft (10) and the output shaft (20). According to the invention, the box possesses an intermediate shaft (30) parallel to the input and output shafts and carrying at least one intermediate pinion (35) which engages with one (13) of the said driving or receiving pinions which is connected in terms of rotation to the drive or receiver shaft (10) carrying it, the other receiver or drive shaft (20) being connected in terms of rotation to the intermediate shaft (30), so as to rotate in the same direction, the intermediate pinion (35) being mounted freely rotatably on the intermediate shaft (30) which carries it and to which it can be connected in terms of rotation (50) in order to provide at least one additional transmission ratio. <IMAGE></p> |
