The connection strips for the cable wires (2,3,4) are so formed that two mutually connectable wires can be separated from one another without the need for the associated contact connections to be released. For each connection element (7) there is a plug (6) with a contact tag (24) for insertion in the centre contact (11) of the connection element. The plug can have a cable connecting element (20) for connection of a lead (4).
