<p>PURPOSE:To surely and simply detect a paper feed abnormality by providing a means detecting that the paper feed speed is made slow and judging the paper feed abnormality when the paper feed abnormality such as a paper jam occurs. CONSTITUTION:When a paper jam 37' occurs and the paper feed of the paper portion on the side of fixing rollers 11 and 12 is stopped and the paper feed is performed by only a tension applying mechanism 15, the paper feed speed is changed to the paper feed speed by the tension applying mechanism 15 slower than the paper feed speed by the fixing rollers 11 and 12 (ordinary paper feed speed). As a result, the feed pulse is not changed from 1 to 0 in the normal feed judgment time, thus the count number of a management counter (K counter) provided on a feed abnormality judging means 35 is counted up by one, and the count number of the K counter reaches 22. A main CPU 34 displays that a paper jam occurs on an indicator 38.</p> |
