The invention relates to a device for feeding spools of film for a cinematographic projection apparatus. It comprises an unspooling unit 3 and a spooling unit 4 for a film being projected, an unspooling unit 9 and a spooling unit 8 for a film already projected, and means for moving between the unit for unspooling the film being projected and the unit for spooling the film already projected on the one hand, and an area of storage of films on the other hand, a stand-by unit 1 for a spool of film not yet projected, a stand-by unit 6 for an empty spool, the said means for moving spools comprising means for movement between the unit for unspooling the film being projected and the unit for spooling a film already projected, between the unit for spooling the film being projected and the unit for unspooling the film already projected, between the stand-by unit for the film not yet projected and the unit for unspooling the film being projected, and between the stand-by unit for the empty spool and the unit for spooling the film being projected. <IMAGE>
