The present invention relates to a device for packaging a load with the aid of a stretch plastic film. This device essentially comprises a plate 1 supporting a load C and driven in rotation by a motor M2 in order to permit the rolling-up around the load C of the stretch film F delivered by a cylinder 2 driven positively in rotation by a motor M1 at a speed which is always below the drive speed of the plate 1 in order thus to cause stretching of the film between the plate 1 and the cylinder 2 due to the difference in speed of the two motors M1, M2 which may be varying speed motors. This device applies, for example, to the packaging of loads previously stacked on a pallet. <IMAGE>
