The barrier system protects an area (A) which is partially surrounded by transmitting and receiving units (1,2) mounted in supports (3) each housing either an infra-red transmitter or a receiver. The supports (8) have tubular mountings (7) each supporting a telescopic element (10) to which is hinged a beam (20) supporting a transmitter or receiver cell whose height, direction and inclination are thus adjustable. A locking device ensures that after adjustment the beams are held in the adjusted position. |
