PURPOSE:To eliminate the history of picture and non-picture and to obtain a satisfactory picture by allowing an electric field generating means to remove developer remaining on a developer supporting means prior to successive developer supply. CONSTITUTION:The developer transferred to the surface of an electrode roller 7 as the electric field generating means is carried in the direction of an arrow (b) by the rotation of the electric field generating means 7, separated and removed by a scraper blade 8 as a developer removing means and returned to a hopper 1. Holding the developer in small quantities after it is separated and removed, the electrode roller 7 further separates and removes the developer on a rotating sleeve 3 effectively by electric field when it faces the rotating sleeve 3. Even if the developer remains on the surface of the rotating sleeve 3, the electric field generating means 7 completely or practically removes the developer on the developer supporting means 6 in such a way. The history of picture and non-picture can thus be eliminated. |
