PURPOSE:To simplify the production process by forming an ion conductor of a porous material and providing a sealant to cover a minus side electrode to one front surface of the ion conductor. CONSTITUTION:The ion conductor 10 is constituted of a porous material which is made of a solid electrolyte. Porous electrodes 11A, 11B to be impressed with a prescribed voltage are provided to the respective surfaces of the conductor 10 and the sealing material 12 which covers the entire surface of the minus side electrode 11A is provided to one surface of the conductor 10. The current value of the oxygen sensor constituted in such a manner attains a specified value at, about 60muA when the voltage value to be impressed to the electrodes 11A, 11B is gradually increased. The threshold current value is thus obtd. and the oxygen concn. is measured. The process for production is simplified when the sensor is constituted in such a manner. |
