PURPOSE:To improve the sealing property without using adhesive seal layers by laminating and forming plural unit cells including gas seals through separator plates. CONSTITUTION:Plural unit cells 1 including gas seals 21 are laminated and formed through separator plates 16. As a result, clearances 26A and 26B surrounding the peripheral surfaces of the unit cells 1 are partitioned into the fuel electrode 7 side and the oxidizer electrode 3 side by frame-form fluorine resin sheets 22, and at the outer side of the clearances 26A nad 26B, are formed an oxidizer electrode 3 side gas space and a fuel electrode 7 side gas space surrounded by packing sheets 23A and 23B, and a seal 21 which consists of the laminate bodies of seal plates 24 and 25. The reaction gas feeding to the both gas spaces is performed through a linking groove 25A formed responding to the groove 4A of the electrode base with ribs of a seal plate 25. As a result, only the frame-form fluorine resin sheets 22 are connected to the unit cells 1 airtight, in the gas seal 21, and the other main body parts are separated from the unit cells. Consequently, the sealing property can be improved without using adhesive seal layers. |
