PURPOSE:To reduce unnecessary frequency components, by forming a balancing type mixer with two sets of varactor diodes. CONSTITUTION:A converting transformer 2 is a broad band balanced-unbalanced transformer consisting of transformers 4, 6, and has output terminals 10A, 10B to obtain a balanced output to a reference potential together with unbalanced input terminals 8A, 8B. The varactor diodes 12, 14 are connected between the output terminals 10A, 10B, and an input terminal 16 is formed at the connecting point. The 1st frequency signal source 18 is connected between the terminal 16 and the reference potential. The terminal 8A is provided with a tuning circuit 24 together with the 2nd frequency signal source 26 via a DC-cut capacitor 20. A mixed output is obtained from a terminal 34 of the tuning circuit 24. Since the varactor diodes are formed as a balancing type, the unnecessary frequency components are reduced. |
