<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a secure airtight structure by providing a tubular sleeve which is to be provided through a radiation shielding wall and a wire passing pipe which forms an offset in the sleeve in the axial direction of the sleeve and put in the sleeve together with a radiation shielding material. CONSTITUTION:A tubular sleeve 8 is formed in a crust body by welding 10 a large and small metallic ducts 8a and 8b of cylindrical bodies of stainless steel, etc. A wire passing pipe 7 has a length longer than that of the sleeve 8 and one end section of the pipe 7 protrudes to the inside of a shielding wall 1 after passing through an end plate 13. The other end section of the pipe 7 protrudes to the outside of the wall 1 from the end section of the large duct 8a. Since the resin coated insulating wire used for this wire passing section is coated with a radiation resisting organic insulating material and, in addition, an inert gas is enclosed in the pipe when the wire is passed through the pipe, a stable insulating performance with less deterioration, even under high- radiation-level and high-temperature conditions, is obtained.</p> |
