PURPOSE:To prepare a novel monomethylamine oxidase having extremely high substrate specificity to monomethylamine, by culturing bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus. CONSTITUTION:Bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing monomethylamine oxidase, e.g. Bacilus sp. N-101 (FERM BP-59) are cultured usually at 20-35 deg.C and 6-8pH under aerobic conditions for 10hr-1 week, and the objective monomethylamine oxidase is separated mainly from the cultured bacterial cells. |
