PURPOSE:To display a three-dimensional image in real time by making a three- dimensional space and a three-dimensional image memory correspond to each other directly and processing data by a pipeline processing system outward from the innermost plane of the image memory in order. CONSTITUTION:Pipeline processors 50, 51, and 59 are assigned to respective memory planes 10, 11, and 19 of the three-dimensional image memory 1 one to one and the pipeline processors 50, 51, and 59 find perspective seeing through data up to the memory planes 10, 11, and 19 individually. Namely, when addresses are specified, one after another, in the memory planes 10, 11, or 19 which is most distant from a view pointer, the pipeline processors 50, 51, and 59 perform arithmetic processing in order. Then when the current arithmetic processing is completed and the result is passed to the next-stage pipeline processor 50, 51, or 59, the data is received from the leading-stage pipeline processor 50, 51, or 59 and processing for a next address is started. Consequently, the three-dimensional image is displayed in real time. |
