PURPOSE:To improve impact resistance, moldability, heat resistance, chemical resistance, rigidity by compounding a specified compsn., a styrenic monomer and an org. peroxide and kneading them. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. (A) is obtd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. (hereinbelow described merely as pts.) resin compsn. (a) consisting of 98-2wt.% polyphenylene ether resin and 2-98wt.% PP and/or propylene copolymer and 2-100 pts. ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer (b) with the highest melting peak temp. of 100 deg.C or higher measured with a differential scanning calorimeter and a density of 0.85-0.91g/cm<3>. 100 pts. component A or 100 pts. component A and 1-50 pts. (styrenic monomer-grafted) rubbery substance, 1-100 pts. styrenic monomer (B) and 0.01-5 pts. org. peroxide (C) based on 100 pts. component B are compounded and kneaded together at 180-350 deg.C. |
