<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a torque stair phenomenon with a good response and to improve the steerage maintaining force by reducing the output of an engine responding to the operating condition of the engine when the increasing rate of the engine rotation frequency exceeds a specific value. CONSTITUTION:An engine A is loaded on a vehicle composed to drive a steering wheel. In this case, the output of the engine A is controlled by a device B. On the other hand, the rotation frequency of the engine A and the operating condition of the engine A are detected by devices C and D respectively. When the increasing rate of the engine rotation frequency detected by the device C with the passage of time exceeds a specific value, the device B is operated depending on the engine operation condition detected by the device D, to reduce the output of the engine A. As a result, the driving torque acting from the engine A to the steering wheel is reduced adequately. Consequently, the generation of a torque stair phenomenon is prevented with a good response, and the steerage maintaining force can be improved.</p> |
