PURPOSE:To have good response in the case of necessity by selectively using two calculating means to calculate the control car speed in different modes according to specified conditions, and by determining the target steering angle of rear wheels on the basis of the determined control car speed. CONSTITUTION:The present invention includes a car speed sensing means MA of pulse output type which emits pulses in the number according to the number of wheel revolutions, a No.1 calculating means MB to calculate the control car speed on the basis of the interval of pulses as output of the means MA, and a No.2 calculating means MC to calculate control car speed on the basis of the number of pulses emitted in a certain period of time. A selecting means MD operates selectively the No.2 calculating means MC during normal times, in which for ex. response in the control car speed computation is not specifically required, and the No.1 calculating means MB when good response is demanded particularly. On the basis of the control car speed thus computed, a deciding means ME decides the target steering angle for the rear wheels, and a drive control means MF controls a rear-wheel steering drive means MG. |
