The present invention relates to a process for regenerating Angiospermae, characterised: - in that the inflorescences or flowers of Angiospermae infected by an appropriate virescence agent are collected; - in that the said inflorescences or flowers collected are cultivated in vitro, under appropriate temperature and light conditions, on a medium comprising mineral macroelements, mineral microelements, EDTA, vitamins, agar and sucrose, hereinafter called basic nutrient medium MB and comprising, in addition, a substance promoting the expression of the virescence, chosen from the group which comprises especially a strong auxin or any other chemical substance with similar action, and optionally a cytokinin and/or benzyladenine and/or coconut milk, for an appropriate time; - in that the explants infected and cultivated according to step 2 are transferred onto an appropriate transplanting medium until buds are obtained which correspond to an infected vegetative structure; - in that rhizogenesis of the said infected buds is induced by transferring the said buds onto an appropriate medium containing auxins or analogues, for an appropriate time, the said transplanting being optionally performed several times, in order to obtain roots; - in that the said buds, optionally provided with roots, are transferred onto a medium containing a systemic fungicide, in order to obtain healthy plantlets, free of pests; Application of this process to the production of regenerants and clones.
