The articulation 1 comprises a hinge 3 with two hinge elements 3a, 3b, at least one of which can move about a hinge pin 4. Each hinge element 3a, 3b extends over the entire length of the leaf 2 and comprises means 7 for securing to at least one articulation member 5 which is coaxial with the said hinge pin 4 and capable of moving rotationally about the latter.
