Sensor for electrical hygrometers and method for the production of such a sensor

The invention relates to a sensor for electrical hygrometers as well as to a method for its production. The sensor consists of a carrier made of electrically insulating material as well as a humidity-dependent resistive resistance layer applied to this carrier which is formed from a mixture of at least two quaternary ammonium salts of different conductivity and is contacted by external electrical connections. The invention is distinguished in that, for contacting the resistance layer covering the carrier over at least a part of its periphery or of its external surface, at least two connecting electrodes are applied which produce, in each case, a large-area electrical connection with the resistance layer in the whole part of the periphery or of the external surface of the carrier occupied by this resistance layer.
