PURPOSE:To perform the color flow mapping of one sound ray simultaneously with the transmission and reception of an ultrasonic wave for point Doppler by providing a control means for controlling a blood flow velocity calculation means so that said calculation means calculates blood flow velocity to a Doppler signal for analyzing a frequency spectrum. CONSTITUTION:By the sector scanning of an examinee 2, the echo signal reflected from the interior of the examinee 2 is subjected to coherent detection to output a Doppler signal by an output means 3. Next, a blood flow velocity calculating means 15 is controlled by a control means with respect to the Doppler signal having to analyze a frequency spectrum by a frequency analyzing means FET to calculate blood flow velocity. The blood flow image corresponding to the calculated blood flow velocity and the frequency spectrum of the Doppler signal are displayed on a color monitor means 18. |
