PURPOSE:To cut unnecessary light signals without incorporating a filter into a transmitter and receiver by providing a filter member into the optical fiber in a ferrule in the pigtail type connector so as to incline with the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:The ferrule 25 is energized leftware by a coil spring 30 when a housing 21 is fitted into the connector of an apparatus and, therefore, the right end face of the optical fiber in the ferrule in the apparatus and the left end face of the optical fiber 35 in the ferrule 25 come into contact with each other in a pressed state so that light is well transmitted. The filter 31 to cut the specified wavelength existing in the ferrule 25 is provided and has a certain angle with the optical axis in order to prevent the reflection of the incident light. The light signal of the wavelength different from the light signal transmitted and received by the transmitter and receiver is cut before the signal is supplied to the transmitter and receiver. |
