The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring the curvature of a rotating cylinder. The method consists in measuring two indications Y1 and Y2 whose ratio is equal to the ratio between the distance X1 covered by a first circle C1 of known diameter D1 and the distance X2 covered by a second circle C2 of unknown diameter D2, the two circles C1 and C2 being in planes perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the cylinder and situated on the external surface of the cylinder.
