The detecting device comprises a load current detector for the A.C. supplied to the load and for developing an A.C. current value signal indicative. Rotary angle detector develops a pulse train signal including a pulse for each preddtermined incremental angle of rotation of the A.C. generator. The load signal output in response to the A.C. current value signal and the pulse train signal, develops an output signal representative of the value of the A.C. current value signal at the time a pulse of the train is received. The ouput signal is updated to an new value signal upon receipt of each pulse of the train.
