The ski binding for a cross country ski has a first binding unit (10) fixed stationary on the ski and a second binding unit (18) set detachably on the ski boot (5) or forming a fixed part thereof, whereby the two binding units are flexibly linked by articulated connections (1,2) and a spring element (3) whose axes (7,9) are spaced from each other when the ski boot is swivelled down onto the ski. A spring elastic stop element (4) is located in the end region of the path (6) along which moves an element which moves with the swivel motion of the boot so that in the uppermost swivel area of the boot the spring force of the stop element is added to that of the spring element (3). The stop element is fixed at the position of the guide path (6) which one of the axes (7) or guided end part reaches when the boot is located in its uppermost swivel area. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ski binding. The running movement of the skier is easier since there is more spring force to introduce the counter movement. |
