The invention relates to a retaining and attachment device, which exhibits a retaining body with a sheet-like, rigid retaining region as well as an attachment-surface region and an elastically flexible, panel-like or sheet-like border portion which, around the border of the retaining region, largely extends away from the latter in at least three side directions and, by one surface side, adjoins the attachment-surface region to form an overall attachment surface and whose side located opposite the attachment surface is freely exposed to the surrounding atmospheric pressure.
