The electron gun for making three electron beams form a complete circle on the fluorescent plate includes a first focusing electrode (73) having three rectangular holes (73R,73G,73B) on a cross section of which the center hole (73G) is larger than the other, and a second focusing electrode (74) having three rectargular holes (74R,74G,74B) on a cross section. Dynamic voltage is applied to the first electrode and focusing voltage (Vfoc + V) is applied to the second electrode for optimal focusing.
