In the containers of minibar units there is a frame of rods defining horizontal shelves, which longitudinal rods are grouped together sufficiently to support a consumable article. At least one longitudinal rod is articulated to the corresponding transverse rod by means of hinging which, without load, tends to occupy a raised position, in such a manner that the removal of the article is detected by means of the upward movement of the free end of the longitudinal rod projecting via the rear part of the container. Also included is connection of the various longitudinal rods to the open ends of an electric circuit which will be closed by means of a conductor element applicable to the periphery of the consumable article, in the form of a strip or ring. In this case, removal of the article is detected by means of the non-conducting condition of the aforesaid circuit. <IMAGE>
