The circuit is for selecting a desired function like a caps lock, number lock, or scroll lock by pressing the corresponding initial key like c, n, or s and an alter key simultaneously. When the c key and the alter key (AT) is pressed simultaneously, an output of AND gate (A1) provides the caps lock signal with high state to a latch circuit (1) which high signal is provided to a keyboard controller (2) to perform the caps lock function. And a display lamp (3) is turned on to show the caps lock function. The other functions like the number lock and the scroll lock are performed like the caps lock function.
