摘要 Material for producing an inert object for detonation wave guidance for moulded charges consits of synthetic resin(s) (I) and h has occlusions (II). (I) is pref. a copolymer contg. silicone or an epoxide, polyester or polyurethane resin. (II) pref. consists of micro-balloons, SiO2, diatomaceous earth, hydrolysed SiCl4, chopped glass fibres or quartz flour and pref. are in split form. USE/ADVANTAGES - Used in the prodn. of an inert lens. The object is used to guide detonation waves in munitions with hollow or cut charges. (II) are of low density, so that the object is not too heavy but has satisfactory strength. The coefft. of thermal expansion can be suited to that of the charge by using an suitable (II) fraction, preventing internal stress or damage.
