Stage (1) for fixing at least one support (27), porous or not, flexible or rigid, which carries one or a plurality of samples, biological or not, to be observed and analyzed by means of a microscope, such stage including a recess (10) for receiving a plate (20; 20a) bearing on the support (27) and therefore for observing the samples carried by said support, as well as means for pressing by suction the support (27) on the bearing plate (20; 20a). The stage is characterized in that it further includes means for the automatic indexing of the support (27) and therefore the samples to be analyzed, comprising a badge (32) which has an opening (34) corresponding to the recess (10) of the stage as well as means for centering, in other words the position indexing, the badge on said stage (1), the support (27) being attached to one of the main faces of the badge (32) on an annular area of the latter delimiting the above-mentioned opening (34). Application to the biological industry for the rapid and indexed analysis with the microscope of filters and other supports carrying multiple samples.
