A sealing strip made of rubber which consists of a sealing hose and a fitting strip which is connected to the sealing hose, the fitting strip being provided with a slotted armouring which is coated in rubber and is provided in the form of a clamping strip, is intended to be constructed in such a way that the highest possible degree of flexibility is achieved, i.e. it can be guided around bends with particularly small radii without its clamping effect being adversely affected. For this purpose, there is provision according to the invention for the clamping strip to be a hard rubber strip which is connected intimately by means of vulcanisation to a coating of soft rubber.
