The invention relates to a book with rigid pages which are fixed to battens, especially a sample book or collection folder, in which the pages are combined to form double cards which are connected to each other by a connecting part on which the pages are pivotably arranged and which, when the double card is filed, extends parallel to the spine of the book and is releasably fixed to the batten. The invention resides in the fact that fixing of the double card is undertaken by means of a peg connection which passes through a recess (6) in the connecting part (5) of the double card, a peg (14) of the peg connection engaging releasably into a seating, and in the fact that the part of the peg connection passing through the connecting part (5) in the longitudinal direction of the batten (1) is mounted in the latter to be immovable or, at the most, capable of limited movement. <IMAGE>
