A piezoelectric transducer with electrodes which adhere well to both ceramic and synthetic materials and consist of intrinsically conducting synthetic material, and a process for producing it. A conducting polymer layer is produced on the surface of piezoceramic components by chemical or anodic oxidation of monomers. The monomers are selected from the class comprising the five-membered heterocyclics containing as hetero atom sulphur or nitrogen, or aniline, azulene or derivatives of the compounds mentioned. The devices fitted with the inexpensive electrodes can advantageously be assembled to produce sandwich-type transducers containing intermediate layers of synthetic material and having good electroacoustic properties. ……
