<p>PURPOSE:To delete characters efficiently through simple operation by regarding a stroke of length larger than a predetermined threshold value as a character deletion indication when the stroke is written during character input operation and deleting characters corresponding to the character deletion indication. CONSTITUTION:A stroke length calculation part 2 calculates the length of the character stroke supplied from a stroke input part 1 and a stroke attribute decision part 3 decides a character stroke when the calculated stroke length is shorter than the threshold value, but decides a character deletion stroke when not. A character data storage part 4 is stored with character data decided as the character stroke and a character deletion part 5 receives the character deletion indication when the stroke attribute decision part 3 decides the character deletion stroke to delete the characters corresponding to the character deletion stroke. Consequently, when a pen is moved so as to paint out the characters to be deleted, this deletion stroke operation is judged as the character deletion indication to delete the characters, thereby performing the character deletion efficiently.</p> |
