PURPOSE:To obtain a passport capable of preventing forgery and interpolation and corresponding to the use of an MRP by a method wherein a portrait image or the like is transferred to an image receiving layer, a character image or the like is printed on a substrate sheet, and the transferred surface of a transparent sheet and the printed surface of the substrate sheet are bonded with each other. CONSTITUTION:At an exposure part 110, the portrait, signature, and stamp of an application 104 are together exposed to light by an exposure unit 120. A printing is conducted on a predetermined position of a booklet 50 with a printing head pin within a printing head 161. A release paper 6 is separated from the booklet 50A in a release paper separating part 170, and a substrate sheet 3 of the booklet 50A is laminated with an adhesive layer 4 by rollers 173, 174. A thermal-transfer photosensitive material 102 is overlapped with the open- state booklet 50A in a thermal-developing transfer part 140. Then, the thermally developed thermal-developing photosensitive material 102 is fed into a release part 150 as it is laminated with the open-state booklet 50B and separated from the booklet 50B. Furthermore, the release paper 6 of the booklet 50B is released and discharged into a waste material containing case 153. On the other hand, the booklet 50B is fed to a drying part 180 and dried. After that, a transparent sheet 2 of the booklet 50B is brought into pressure contact with the adhesive layer 4 by rollers 153, 154.
