PURPOSE:To provide an external agent repressing erythema and chromatosis caused by UV light, having a high activity for preventing blotch and freckle caused by sunburn and preventing the coloration of the external agent when used by using both kojic acid or a derivative thereof and a specific UV light- absorbing substance. CONSTITUTION:One kind or more of UV light-absorbing substances selected from dibenzoylmethane carboxylic acid derivatives, polyvalent metal salts thereof, poly aluminum hydroxide salt thereof, carbamoyldibenzoylmethane derivatives, isocoumarin derivatives, benzylideneaniline derivatives and dibenzylidenecyclopentenone derivatives is compounded with an external agent containing the known kojic acid or a derivative thereof as a melamine production-inhibiting agent in an amount of 0.01-5.0wt.% based on the whole amount of an external agent to provide the external agent having the above- mentioned effects without giving any damage to the skins of people when used. |
