The leaf (7) is inserted in the closure position between the vertical edges (3, 4) of an opening to be closed. A slide (29) of a driven element (23) slides with respect to an intermediary element (24) which slides in turn on a slide (27) of a support element (21). The sliding means (31, 32) of the intermediary element are external to each other and are offset with respect to each other in the transverse direction and in the longitudinal direction. A jack acting on a toggle joint (31, 41) maintaining the support element (21) unnests the rear edge (17) of the leaf. A jack (51) makes the leaf (7) slide with respect to the support element (21) to clear the grove (11) from a rib (9) and unnest the front edge (12) by means of a finger (18) of the leaf engaged into a slide (19), while an arm (36) pivots outwardly. Utilization for purposes of compactness, precision, facility of construction, freedom in the choice of the leaf trajectory.
