Angle drilling and milling arm

To make recesses (e.g. a bore) starting from a hollow space (5), an angle arm (3) provided with a tool (2) is put into the hollow space (5) of the workpiece (6). In known angle arms, high bending moments arise which impair the accuracy of the machining and impair the machining performance (feed performance). The novel angle arm (3) is intended to largely avoid the bending moments described. On the side remote from the tool (2), the angle arm (3) is supported against the wall (4) of the hollow space (5) by an adjustable supporting element (1). By a coupling (12) with a control element (11), the position of the supporting element (1) relative to the angle arm (3) changes in such a way that the angle arm (3) is also supported during the machining operation. The angle arm (3) permits accurate machining of, for example, transverse bores in a workpiece (6). <IMAGE>
