PURPOSE:To make the best use of read-out information and to improve operability by providing a control means which releases a waiting mode when the insertion of a copy mode specifying paper into a reading means is detected while a copying machine main body is in the waiting mode. CONSTITUTION:A reader control circuit 48 for a reader is connected to a CPU 40 through a serial interface 47. In addition to an insertion inhibition display and an insertion permission display, a carrying motor 49 carrying the copy mode specifying paper and a read sensor 50 optically reading a mark entered on the paper are connected to the reader control circuit 48. In the case the copy mode specifying paper is inserted into the reading means in spite of the waiting mode, the waiting mode is released. Consequently, read-out mode information is always used efficiently, and the mode suitable for the information is set to take a copy without releasing the waiting mode through a key. |
