PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to monitor the pool buffer of a file controller by a store controller by informing the store controller that sale totalization data is transferred to the pool buffer by the file controller. CONSTITUTION:When the capacity of a single-article totalization file A reaches a set value, the file controller 2 transfers the contents of the file A to the pool buffer B and the file A is cleared; and the stored controller 4 is informed that the data are transferred to the pool buffer B. The store controller 4 which receives the data transfer information gathers single-article totalization data for the file controller 2. Consequently, the store controller 4 need not monitor the state of the pool buffer B of the file controller 2 at all times, so the information transmission efficiency of a 2nd line 5 and the use efficiency of a CPU by both controllers 2 and 4 is improved. |
