<p>PURPOSE:To improve cleaning ability and corona resistance by forming an endless belt by a film consisting of a copolymer of 99-70mol% vinylidene fluoride and 1-30mol% hexafluoropropene. CONSTITUTION:A toner image is formed on an image carrier 1, and transferred to an image-transfer material 4 carried by an endless belt 3 of an image- separating device 2 by application of a voltage to an electrifier 6 by means of DC power supply 5. The image-transfer material 4 is separated from the image carrier 1 by suction force of the charge of the electrically charged belt, and carried away by the belt 3. With the endless belt 3, its surface layer is formed by a 30mum thick cylindrical film consisting of a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride - hexafluoropropene (polymerization mol ratio 99-70:1-30), and its inner surface layer formed by blending a copolymer of vinylchloride graft ethylene - vinyl acetate with polyether ester amid and dodecyl benzene sulfonic soda is joined on the inner surface of the belt, and volumetric specific resistance is set at 1X10<13>OMEGA. The cleaning ability and corona resistance can thus be improved.</p> |
