<p>PURPOSE:To attain the recording without missing from a recorded source by detecting a leader part at the recording onto a tape, skipping the tape at the start of winding and applying inverted recording at the end of winding. CONSTITUTION:With the leader part of a tape T passing through a recording head 1, a bias voltage is increased and exceeds a setting value, then the fast feeding is continued, and since the setting part is not exceeded on the magnetic layer part of the tape T, the fast feeding is released to start the recording mode. When the state of a mechanism 3 is not in the fast feeding, whether the tape T is in the leader part of the magnetic layer part is discriminated to apply the fast feeding and start of recording, and the leader part in the recording is discriminated through the change of the bias voltage from the setting value into a value in excess of the setting value. The leader part passes through the recording head 1, then the voltage exceeds the setting value and the mechanism 3 is moved to the reverse recording, and if not exceeding, the discrimination of the leader part is repeated. Thus, the leader part of the magnetic tape is detected in this way so as to attain the recording without missing from the recorded source.</p> |
