PURPOSE:To record a color image of high quality on an ordinary sheet by irradiating uniformly a latent image carrier with negative ions, then writing negative information of the image with positive ions, then writing negative information of the image with positive ions, developing it with a positive toner liquid, and transferring it to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Negative ions are uniformly charged on a latent image carrier 1 by means of a uniform charger 2, ions generated by a writing charger 3 are written under the control of electrode pair 31 as an ion stream. Fluid toner of positive polarity lifted from a toner tank 41 by a developing roller 43 is applied to the carrier 1 in a developing unit 4, the toner is attracted to the charged part to develop the latent image to be visualized. When the developments are finished for the colors to be recorded, the toner image on the carrier 1 is transferred to a sheet 10 by a transfer charger 5, heated by a fixing drier 7, and secured onto the sheet 10. |
